The NovelSat NS3000 Professional High-Data Rate Satellite Modem is the world's fastest, most bandwidth-efficient satellite modem. This translates into marked cost reduction for both point-to-point and point-to-multi point data, video and mixed data/video applications. The NS3000 Modem delivers data transmission rates of up to 425Mbps in each direction using a 84MHz transponder. The NS3000 is a member of the NovelSat Professional Satellite Modem series which also includes the NovelSat NS300.

Combining both a modulator and demodulator in a single unit, the NS3000 Modem is flexible enough to supports all types of applications – from the smallest links to the world's largest pipes. Ideal for satellite-based cellular backhaul as well as high data rate IP trunking applications where lack of infrastructure and challenging geography makes wire links impractical.

Technology

Powered by NovelSat NS3 satellite transmission technology and NovelSat DUET band-reuse via echo cancellation technology, the NS3000 satellite modem outperforms industry standard DVB-S2 by more than 100%, delivering more video and data over available bandwidth, up to 425 Mbps per channel – and 850 Mbps bidirectional streams over a 84Mhz transponder. By using the spectrum more efficiently and incorporating techniques to boost resilience against channel impairment including satellite jamming, high quality broadcasts and networking applications remain profitable.

The NovelSat NS3000 incorporates both the NS1000 Modulator and NS2000 Demodulator in a single unit, offering advanced packet processing, routing capabilities and TCP acceleration and compression for IP packet streams. Applications

The NovelSat NS3000 Satellite Modem, powered by NovelSat NS3 technology supports STM1 over a 84Mhz transponder at data rates of 155 Mbps. Current DVB-S2 based equipment cannot support speeds in this range. The NovelSat NS3000 modem (modulator/demodulator) solution for STM1 is ideal for landline or cellular backhaul networks, remote oil and gas facilities, military and government applications, as well as corporate communications.
